In the presence of Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, along with members of the College Council, the Team Sports Branch held the final match of the Women’s Five-a-Side Football Championship, attended by a number of students and staff.
The match featured strong competition between third-year and fourth-year students, with both teams demonstrating excellent performance and sportsmanship. The third-year team secured a decisive victory, winning 5–0.
Prof. Alaa Mohsen, Head of the Team Sports Branch, stated that this championship is part of the branch’s efforts to promote student participation in sports and enhance teamwork skills among female students.
The event concluded with awarding the winning team and honoring standout players in a celebratory atmosphere that reflected the success of the championship and the College’s commitment to supporting women’s sports activities. Aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 5: Gender Equality.
